Job description

York Concrete Operations is seeking an experienced Certified Concrete Lab Technician to join our team at our ready-mix concrete plant in York, PA. We are looking for a knowledgeable, self-motivated individual who can step into the position and independently handle the day-to-day testing and quality-control responsibilities of our concrete lab.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of concrete testing/quality-control experience

Current ACI certification

Current applicable PennDOT District 8 certification/qualification

Experience performing fresh concrete testing and preparing concrete test

Knowledge of concrete mix designs and ready-mix production

Ability to accurately maintain testing, quality-control, and certification records

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Valid driver's license

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with plant personnel, drivers, customers, inspectors, and project personnel

Responsibilities

Perform required concrete testing and quality-control procedures

Make and maintain concrete test

Monitor concrete consistency and performance

Maintain accurate testing and quality-control records

Assist with mix-design documentation and compliance requirements

Coordinate with plant management regarding quality or production concerns

Maintain an organized and properly functioning concrete lab

Assist with PennDOT and other applicable inspections, documentation, and compliance requirements

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a turnkey individual with hands-on ready-mix concrete experience who understands the responsibilities of operating a concrete quality-control lab and can work with minimal supervision.
