Job description

Lead Teaching Pastor - West Madison Bible Church

West Madison Bible Church, an independent church, is actively seeking a full-time lead pastor to support our church's growth, facilitate the evangelism efforts with in our local community as well as our worldwide missions, to be our long-term spiritual leader, and promote the spiritual advancement of the body of Christ.

Job requirements will include…

1.) Preaching the inerrancy and authority of the Word of God from the Bible every Sunday

2.) Provide pastoral care including visiting the sick and shut-ins, as well as counseling and support to those in need

3.) Overseeing ceremonies including weddings, funerals, and baptisms

4.) Actively participate in evangelistic outreach to the community

5.) Developing and mentoring leadership within the church

6.) Be actively involved with church leadership and staff

Job qualifications include…

1.) Have a minimum of 5 years of ministry experience including preaching the Word of God in a congregational setting

2.) Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a conservative Bible college

3.) Have good communication skills including working with others, willing to take initiative, and conflict resolution

4.) Have a passion for equipping the believers and evangelizing the lost

5.) Have an active prayer life and deep desire for their continuing growth and study in God’s Word

6.) Have at least a basic working knowledge of current technology
