Description
The Worship Leader at Christ Community Chapel (CCC) is a spiritually grounded, musically skilled leader with a heart for guiding people into meaningful, Christ-centered worship. This role flows out of a deep and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for congregational worship that is theologically rich, musically excellent, and culturally aware. This position will have the opportunity to serve across a variety of ministry environments, including weekend worship services, student services, and major church-wide gatherings (such as Easter/Holy Week, Christmas Concerts, and Christmas Eve services). The Worship Leader will function as a collaborative member of the Worship & Creative Arts team, contributing wherever musical leadership and support are most needed, as directed by the Worship & Production Director. An appreciation for and working knowledge of modern and contemporary worship music, particularly powerful and dynamic expressions of worship, is essential. This is a part-time position and reports to the Worship & Production Director.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead congregational worship in a variety of settings, adapting musical style, leadership approach, and service flow to the context.
  • Plan and prepare worship services through thoughtful development of setlists, Ableton sessions, and congregational elements aligned with the teaching and preaching rhythm of the church.
  • Maintain a growing knowledge of contemporary worship music, scripture use, and congregational readings appropriate for a modern worship context.
  • Collaborate with the Worship & Creative Arts team to support seasonal services, concerts, and church-wide gatherings.
  • Build meaningful relationships with worship volunteers and student musicians, investing in their spiritual growth, musical development, and leadership formation.
  • Communicate clearly with Production team members regarding technical needs, rehearsal requirements, and service execution.
  • Utilize Planning Center, Microsoft Office, and other organizational tools to manage planning, communication, and volunteer coordination.
  • Participate fully in the life of CCC as a staff member, including all-staff meetings, theological training, spiritual formation rhythms, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience rehearsing bands and leading worship with proficiency on an instrument in a church or para-church ministry.
  • Ability to read and edit chord charts for band members (required), and sheet music for all instrument types (preferred).
  • Familiarity with creating custom song arrangements and teaching resources using recording equipment, DAWs, and transcription software.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide consistent worship leadership throughout the week and weekend in a dynamic and growing church environment.
