Job description

We are a Chicagoland provider of exclusive, high-end home audio/video and automation products. We work on high profile projects that require exceptional service and excellent attention to detail. Our specialties include: Home Theater, Whole Home Audio Systems, Lighting Control, HVAC Systems Control, Media Rooms, Computer Networks, and Automation. Our customers are affluent and demanding, and we've built our reputation by earning their trust and exceeding their expectations!

Technology Professionals has an immediate opening for a Pre-wire Technician focused on the rough-in wiring run of new construction and retro projects. Wire runs typically include TV, data, speaker, camera & security.

Job Knowledge and Requirements​:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Position typically expects one (1) to three (3) years of direct/relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Possess problem solving capabilities
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask
  • Must have a positive attitude and ability to work well with others

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of rough-in wiring in primarily in new construction, crawl spaces, attics and other locations.
  • Low voltage cabling, installation of junction boxes, brackets, enclosures, and wire management.
  • Install, terminate, label, and test wiring (Cat6e, RG6, speaker, security, etc)
  • Complete installations according to project plans and proposals.
  • Follow industry standards and building codes for low voltage installations.
  • Maintain job site and vehicle cleanliness
  • Interact with employees, customers, and colleagues effectively and on a professional level

Candidate will be expected to work overtime and flexible hours as needed to meet installation schedules and departmental needs. Success in this position requires a passion for working as a team, solving problems, persistence, identifying opportunities and the drive to succeed
