We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatric Inpatient Transplant Surgery team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital on a PRN basis. This position provides the opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized multidisciplinary transplant team caring for pediatric patients before and after solid organ transplantation.

Position Highlights
  • PRN inpatient position caring for pediatric transplant surgery patients
  • Rotating PRN schedule with weekday, weekend, holiday, and overnight coverage opportunities
  • Manage pediatric transplant patients throughout the inpatient continuum, including pre-operative evaluation, post-operative care, and long-term transplant management
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary care
  • Collaborate closely with transplant surgeons, pediatric specialists, pharmacists, nurses, and ancillary staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

  • Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia
  • Prior inpatient experience required; transplant surgery, pediatric surgery, critical care, or surgical specialty experience preferred
