Job Responsibilities
As a Preoperative Nurse, you will:
  • Provide patient-centered care in the preoperative area for patients of all ages.
  • Assess and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring they understand the procedure and are ready for the experience.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver the highest level of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments per surgical protocols.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold Texas Nurse Practice Act standards at all times.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma or Associate Degree).
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Active RN license.
  • CPR-BCLS certification.
  • ACLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • Experience: No previous experience required; training provided.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide care in a professional manner.
  • Knowledge of preoperative nursing processes and patient safety protocols.
