CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Location: Southern Alberta
Competitive Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000 + Bonus
Our client is a well-established design-build general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering commercial, industrial, and institutional projects across Alberta. Known for their collaborative culture and commitment to quality, they continue to grow and are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead project operations and mentor high-performing teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction leader who enjoys overseeing multiple projects, supporting project teams, and driving operational excellence from pre-construction through completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide leadership and oversight to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Site Superintendents, and field teams across multiple active projects.
  • Support projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are achieved.
  • Assist with estimating, tendering, procurement, scheduling, and overall project planning on complex projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits, monitor progress, resolve challenges, and ensure projects remain on track.
  • Mentor project teams while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers while representing the company throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence across all projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience within commercial, industrial, or design-build construction.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Proven experience leading project teams and managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Gold Seal, PMP, C.E.T., or similar professional designation is considered an asset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites.
