Job Title: Entry-Level Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianJob Description

This entry-level role focuses on maintaining and improving the performance of industrial machinery in a clean, well-lit steel production environment. You will use your mechanical aptitude and basic tools knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support continuous process improvements to keep operations running efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize process improvement techniques, tools, and procedures to enhance equipment performance and production efficiency.
  • Maximize the performance of machinery by identifying issues, troubleshooting equipment problems, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals to understand machine components, functions, and maintenance requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established programs to maintain equipment and prevent failures.
  • Use hand tools and hand and power tools safely and effectively for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support maintenance and repair activities on stamping and related industrial equipment as needed.
  • Record, document, and report maintenance activities, equipment issues, and repairs in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working with machinery, tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and minimize machine downtime.
  • Lift and move equipment or parts up to 50 pounds as part of regular maintenance tasks.
