About This Opportunity

The Rough In Project Lead is responsible for overseeing HVAC rough-in projects from project handoff through rough-in completion. This position leads installation crews, coordinates daily jobsite activities, ensures projects stay on schedule and within labor goals, and delivers high-quality, code-compliant installations that are ready for inspection. The Project Lead also mentors apprentices while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.


Bonus Opportunity

  • $350 Attendance Bonus for perfect attendance during the first 30 days

Assignment Details

Pay: $30.00hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 4:00 PM

Assignment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pre Employment Requirements

  • Drug Screen Required
  • Background Check Required
  • Must be able to communicate in English (Bilingual a plus)
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Client Interview Required

Responsibilities

  • Lead HVAC rough-in projects from start to completion.
  • Participate in project handoff meetings to understand project scope, plans, and expectations.
  • Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members and apprentices.
  • Verify materials, equipment, and jobsite readiness before beginning work.
  • Install and oversee HVAC rough-in systems according to company standards and local building codes.
  • Monitor project progress to meet labor budgets and scheduling goals.
  • Communicate material shortages, delays, and project updates to management.
  • Maintain organized jobsites, tools, equipment, and required documentation.
  • Train and mentor apprentices through hands-on leadership and daily coaching.
  • Prepare completed rough-ins for inspection and transition to the finish stage.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience leading HVAC rough-in installation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
  • Working knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
