Job description

Work Schedule:

This position is .20 FTE Physician Leadership responsibility plus .75 -.80 FTE clinical practice time in Anesthesia. Hours will be scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours may vary and additional hours may be required to meet the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Medical Director, Pre-anesthesia Clinic to:

  • Develop and lead a UW Health Pre-anesthesia Assessment Steering Committee.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop a best-practice, patient-centered model for pre-anesthesia assessment and perioperative care.
  • Oversee business planning and operational activities for the clinic in partnership with the clinic's nurse manager.
  • Along with relevant stakeholders, identify and review marketing trends, clinical best practices, and develop future plans for initiatives for UW Health Pre-anesthesia Assessment Clinic.

  • M.D. or D.O. Required
