Back-Up Staff: Analytical Lab Technician, Analytical Services Manager

Summary

The Analytical Lab Technician plays a key support role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of analytical operations within our facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing samples for analytical testing.
  • Performing routine equipment diagnostics and assisting in general equipment upkeep, in coordination with the department supervisor.
  • Monitoring inventory of laboratory consumables and promptly communicating shortages to the supervisor.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized laboratory records and documentation.
  • Assisting in the development, testing, and optimization of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the facility.
  • Participating in ongoing quality control (QC) initiatives and analytical method development.
  • Collaborating with flavorists and other departments to support day-to-day analytical needs.

Qualifications

  • A background in analytical chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, including Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), Flame Ionization Detection (FID), and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high laboratory standards.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with the Flavor, Beverage, Production, and Sales teams.
Physical Demands and Work Environment 
This is a full-time, on-site position based at the company's headquarters. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, evening and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
