BayCare Clinic General and Vascular Surgery is looking for a Surgery Scheduler to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We’re looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. The typical hours for this role are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No Holidays! No Weekends!

The Clinic:

BayCare Clinic is a successful, dynamic group comprised of 20+ specialties. We are a physician-owned entity with joint ownership in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital located in Green Bay, WI, offering us a built-in referral base. Each of our specialty practices have clinical autonomy and are financially sound.

Our newly renovated practice site is conveniently located within Aurora BayCare Medical Center, proving exceptional patient care to the greater Green Bay area.

The Job:

  • Verifies availability of date, time, and anesthesia for scheduled surgical procedures.
  • Accurately obtains scheduling information including procedure, type of anesthesia, length of stay, and patient demographics.
  • Promptly schedules surgical procedures while observing block times.
  • Communicates with hospital staff regarding scheduling and pre-admission testing.
  • Accurately records cancellations and reasons in computer.
  • Answers phone calls in a timely and courteous manner and properly disposes of the calls.
  • Notifies appropriate staff of supply/forms shortages.
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality.
  • Works in a safe, compliant and ethical manner at all times.

The Requirements:

  • Associate degree in a health care field preferred, but not required.
  • Clinical experience, MA/ LPN or previous surgical scheduling experience is strongly preferred.
  • 6-months to 1-year related experience/training or equivalent of education/experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Working knowledge of computers and appropriate software.
