Job description

Ready, Set, Grow Learning Academy is looking for ambitious, creative, professional, silly, fun, joyful teachers to join our brand new Midtown facilities located at 1418 Madison Ave. Full/Part Time and Floater positions available.

If you do not mind singing and dancing while teaching your curriculum, changing diapers or feeding a baby then we encourage you to apply! We believe that children learn most through active play!

Our teachers are passionate about the intellectual and emotional development of children, and we are currently in search of an equally passionate and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our team. Teachers will be responsible for maintaining a positive and appropriate educational environment and creating a program that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of all of our children. The successful candidate will work closely with the Educational Director to ensure our program provides education, physical health, emotional well-being, and parental involvement services to all enrolled students.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
  • Create a fun and safe learning environment
  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
  • Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
  • Maintain the health and safety of all students

We are most interested in talking to applicants that have:

  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility required
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build a rapport with children and parents
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in multi-tasking, and does not fold underpressure!
  • Five current years of working in childcare - two years specific to the infant room
  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • After 90 days we can help you get your CDA
  • CPR/First Aid Child and Adult Preferred (must obtain within first 14 days)
  • Required Training outlined by the State of Tennessee must be completed before working with children - SIDS/Shaken Baby, New Care Giver/ Personal Safety
  • Must have a willingness to succeed, motivation and drive
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
