Job description

Position Summary:
Provides supervision to students in the Counseling and Human Services program who are participating in clinical practicums at community agencies.
Job Duties:
  • Visits weekly with each supervised student at the students' practicum site to discuss clinical, professional, and personal issues relevant to the students' performance,
  • Interacts regularly with the students' supervisor at the agency to discuss the students' performance,
  • Plays a critical role in maintaining a professional collaboration between the Counseling and Human Services program and practicum sites, and
  • Provides feedback to the Counseling and Human Services practicum coordinator and program manager about each students' performance.

Required Qualifications:
AS degree in Counseling and Human Services from a regionally accredited educational institution or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Three years of prior related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills,
Capacity to communicate adeptly both orally and in writing,
Able to mentor students during their practicum experience,
Able to interact cooperatively with personnel at agencies that provide practicum opportunities for Counseling and Human Services students and
Work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
Additional Documents Required:
If the applicant is not substituting prior-related work experience for the educational requirement of an awarded bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited educational institution, must attach or submit a copy of their diploma or transcript to their application.
Applicants not substituting work experience for the educational requirement must bring an official transcript when selected for an interview.
