Pure Paws Hudson Square is Hiring a Full-Time Veterinary Practice Manager (Animal Hospital Manager) - New York, NYย 

What to Expectย 

As you join our mission, expect to provide leadership and structure to our team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, and to work directly with hospital leadership dedicated to supporting development of your management and leadership skillset.ย 

With a solid understanding of the veterinary industry, and prior experience overseeing hospital operations, you'll be responsible for leading with clarity, managing multiple priorities, and contributing directly to the ongoing excellence of the hospital and the well-being of the animals we care for.ย 

Pay: ย $85,000 - $100,000 per year, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Eligibility for up to 15% performance-based annual bonus.ย 

Schedule: ย Full time, salaried position (approx. 40-50ย hours per week). Typical schedule Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours meetings and Saturdays.Flexibility and discretion in creating schedule. ย

  • 2+ years of management experience in a veterinary hospital, animal hospital, or medical practice setting preferred.ย 

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, with a primary focus on hospital growth initiatives, including:
  • Maintaining team focus on client growth and retention activities (e.g., health reminder outreach, forward booking, rescheduling canceled appointments, Google reviews and online reputation)
  • Collaborate with Marketing Lead and Marketing partner to drive successful Marketing campaigns
  • Client service - ensure practice is offering premium, white glove experience to all clients.
  • Manage hospital operations in collaboration with Partner Doctor, Medical Director, and Operations Director.
  • Scope includes personnel management (e.g., hiring, training, development, performance mgmt. and resolution of staff conflicts), scheduling, inventory management and administrative duties required to run practice.
  • Guide and coach team members toward continuous improvement, maintaining a strong commitment to the client experience.
  • Demonstrate initiative in balancing the needs of both the business and the staff.ย
