Position Summary

Kapnick is building a next-generation Personal Insurance Practice focused on serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and key executives. This is a leadership opportunity to design, build, and scale a premier Private Client offering within a well-established, growth-oriented firm.

This role is not about managing a traditional personal lines department-it is about creating a differentiated, referral-driven, relationship-centric business that delivers exceptional service to sophisticated clients.

You will lead the transformation of our Personal Insurance Practice into a high-performing Private Client business by:

Building a specialized team focused on high-net-worth families

Developing deep referral relationships with wealth managers and key executives

Elevating the client experience to a concierge-level standard

Driving profitable growth without reliance on traditional marketing or sales models

Key Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Practice Leadership & Strategy

Execute and refine the Private Client vision

Build and lead Private Client and Retention teams

Establish structure, roles, compensation alignment, and accountability

Develop a referral-driven growth engine

Build partnerships with wealth managers and internal executives

Perform other duties as assigned that will ensure the smooth operation of the practice and guarantee top level customer service to our client base.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

10+ years in personal insurance, including high net-worth segment

Valid P&C Insurance license: Required

Proven leadership experience

Strong carrier knowledge

Strong relationship builder

Strategic and execution-focused

High emotional intelligence

Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Ability to resolve problems independently.

Experience working with multiple carriers and rating systems.

Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
