Job Description

This role provides enterprise-wide leadership for Technology Project Portfolio Management (PPM), overseeing the tools, processes, data, and planning capabilities that support technology investment, capacity, demand, workforce, and delivery decisions. The role partners closely with Technology, Finance, HR, and portfolio leaders to create integrated insights that support strategic planning and execution across the technology organization.

With a product-oriented mindset, this leader owns the strategy, roadmap, and evolution of the Technology PPM ecosystem, ensuring portfolio management capabilities align with business priorities, financial objectives, and delivery needs. Success requires strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead through transformation and organizational change.

Business & Team Context

This team is responsible for the technology portfolio management ecosystem, including platform configuration, integrations, reporting, and planning capabilities that support Technology, Portfolio, and Finance stakeholders. The role is central to technology planning efforts and helps translate portfolio, workforce, and delivery information into actionable business and financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise Technology PPM capabilities, including demand, capacity, financial, and portfolio planning.
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and governance of the Technology PPM ecosystem.
  • Oversee portfolio management tools, integrations, reporting, and data capabilities, including Clarity, Jira, and ServiceNow.
  • Partner with Finance to support forecasting, investment planning, and capital and expense management.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Portfolio, and HR leaders to align people, products, priorities, and investments.
  • Communicate portfolio insights, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Lead stakeholders through transformation by establishing clear requirements, decision-making processes, and change management practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in technology, portfolio management, product management, enterprise planning, or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years of leadership or senior individual contributor experience with enterprise-level responsibility.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience leading Project Portfolio Management (PPM) or enterprise technology planning functions within a large organization.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio management, capacity planning, demand management, and financial forecasting.
  • Experience with Clarity, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar portfolio and workflow management platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder alignment and lead through transformation and change.
  • Strong executive communication, influence, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

Location Expectation

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

Pay Range: $149,515.00 - $175,900.00
