Global Technical Solutions – Production Test Engineering is seeking to fill an Electrical Engineer position. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and sustain test equipment that supports manufacturing and service operations. The engineer in this position must have strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in both hardware and software. This role will utilize software and hardware expertise to debug, repair, and update multi‑rack test stations deployed in production.

These test stations include, but are not limited to, the following COTS equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, fiber‑optic measurement devices, optical measurement devices, power supplies, and electronic loads. The position also requires supporting ESS and vibration test equipment and associated software suites.

What You Will Do:

  • Integrate newly designed and newly manufactured multi‑rack test systems into engineering and production environments.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance test and automation software using Python, C#, LabVIEW, Visual Basic, and other programming languages as required.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in existing multi‑rack test systems, ensuring reliable operation and minimal downtime.
  • Work in small teams with technicians and manufacturing engineers to address Expert On Call (EOC) tickets submitted by production.
  • Coordinate test equipment design reviews and ensure the creation of appropriate design documentation.
  • Review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in manufacturing and service environments.
  • Prepare and present project and technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and complex engineering activities while effectively balancing priorities and schedules.
  • Work primarily in Cedar Rapids, with occasional travel as required.
  •  Work independently, multitask, and delegate work to support technicians, engineering support staff, and peers.
  • Support external customers and engineers working on Manufacturing License Agreement (MLA) programs.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
