Software Engineer Herndon, VA CB-SWE-HRN-003 We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program delivers Enterprise Computing Engineering services with modern technology solutions that function both on customer premise and via remote Cloud services. As a mission-focused administrator that solves problems on the program, you will be expected to: recognize the issue(s), identify the facts, define additional data that would be helpful, make assumptions as necessary, determine alternative approaches, evaluate alternatives, make recommendations, alter assumptions and rework solutions, and reflect on lessons learned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills: We are actively seeking a Software Development Engineer who will develop new automation capabilities that utilize infrastructure as code best practices and establish a continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline. Qualified applicants must have at least sixteen (16) years related experience and a Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree and 14 years, or eighteen (18) years related experience, are also acceptable.

- .NET - C Sharp (C#) - Demonstrated experience with cloud environment services such as AWS or Azure - Substantial experience with DevOps practices and tools to include release management, orchestration and code repository tools such as Jira, GitHub, or Jenkins. - Proven experience using various scripting languages to create final product per stakeholder requirements - Experience architecting, implementing, or maintaining solutions in the sponsor cloud environment - Demonstrated experience documenting concepts of operations and standards of practice for tiered maintenance support - Ability to test and deploy custom infrastructure as code using various DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, and PowerShell - Proven ability to work with senior leadership - Must be able to deliver weekly status to leadership by specified deadlines Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: - Certifications: Microsoft Certified Engineer, Microsoft Certified Architect, CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, GSEC, or Cloud Security certifications (e.g., AWS Security, Azure Security Engineer) - Experience working in air-gapped environments or with classified systems - Experience with Agile methodologies and working in sprint-based development cycles - Familiarity with security in CI/CD pipelines and container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) - Knowledge of zero trust architecture and identity/access management strategies Toolsets & Platforms: - Security Tools: Splunk, Rapid 7 - Operating Systems: Windows Server, RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu - Compliance Tools: Rapid 7, Greenlight, Illuminate - Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP - Automation/Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible - DevSecOps: Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes Soft Skills: - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Excellent communication and documentation abilities - Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks
