Summary of Responsibilities:

Help Keep Critical Infrastructure Secure, Stable, and Always On
At ATC, our technology systems power the reliability of the grid and the communities we serve. We're looking for a Technology System Administrator who thrives in structured, mission-critical environments and takes pride in ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and highly available.
If you're someone who owns outcomes, stays calm under pressure, and enjoys improving how systems run, we'd love to connect.
This role requires on-call rotation and you must live in or be willing to relocate to Wisconsin within two hours of an ATC control center, which are located in Pewaukee and Cottage Grove. This role is not available for remote work.

Essential Responsibilities:

What You'll Do
  • Own the availability and performance of Technology Operations applications and services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, outages, and system issues
  • Collaborate across teams to mitigate risks identified in Lessons Learned and Problem Review events
  • Execute and validate backup and recovery processes
  • Maintain system security through patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation
  • Support go-live readiness and production deployments
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency
What You'll Bring
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field
  • 3+ years of system administration experience
  • Experience with monitoring, patching, and backup management
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements

The targeted base pay for this position is $83,200 to $97,100 annually.* Base pay is one component of our comprehensive total rewards package which includes an annual incentive bonus, employer-sponsored pension plan, 401(k) match, HSA contribution, life & disability insurance, health care benefits, generous time off plans, flexible work arrangements, and much more.
