POSITION: Systems Administrator IV LOCATION: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD SCOPE: Serves as a Systems Administrator on a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at the Aberdeen Test Center (ATC). RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs Windows Server systems administration including troubleshooting, monitoring, and support; * Windows event and performance monitoring; and management of hosted systems software platforms. * Resolves basic and intermediate issues associated with system configuration management, resource sharing and basic networking troubleshooting and problem identification. * Resolves security issues including identity management, records retention, and implements destruction policies. * Uses and write operating system commands and scripts, manages disk configurations, maintains hardware and software RAID 1-N, performs migration, backup and recovery using scripting languages, such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, and/or Perl. * May support performance tuning, capacity planning and bottleneck resolution, administration of Microsoft Servers, building and maintaining high-availability, clustered and scalable systems, and load balancing. * Manages production environments using automated install, automated build and deployment, automated configuration management, enterprise monitoring systems, server virtualization, load balancing, web servers, and application servers.
