Job Description:

Systems Technology & Research, Inc. (STaR) is seeking a Logistics Research Analyst / Provisioner in the Huntsville, AL area to support Army Aviation developmental programs. Candidate will be a key member of the Logistics Management Division, providing critical support to the Utility Helicopters Project Office and should be highly motivated and responsive self-starters with the ability to manage multiple tasks. This role is central to develop, revise, and maintain data for maintenance publications.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree with 5 years of direct relevant experience.
  • Aviation aircraft/major weapon system maintenance, recognition and readiness acquisition and/or sustainment logistics
  • Ability to comprehend engineering technical data
  • Strong background in logistics management and technical documentation within the defense acquisition community.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, writing, and editing technical and logistics documentation for DoD acquisition
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply DoD instructions and standards to program
  • Experience in coordinating with diverse teams, including engineering, finance, and program management, to gather information and facilitate document reviews.
  • Familiarity with the structure and content requirements of key acquisition documents, such as the Lifecycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP).
  • Familiarity with defense acquisition terminology and the roles of various DoD logistics and materiel
  • Hands-on experience with document management systems and collaboration tools.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze technical data received from vendors/OEM related to Provisioning
  • Develop technical data which is the source of provisioning, RPSTL and other equipment publications and maintenance programs.
  • Evaluate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and publication change requests for impact to maintenance concepts/philosophies.
  • Investigate and furnish replies to DA Form 2028s and other related correspondence.
  • Responsible for all initial and follow on provisioning of new and established items, to include assistance and service to supply personnel, relative to interchangeability and substitutability of
  • Review, evaluate, accept and/or reject the provisioning data from OEM and contractors.
  • Verify provisioning data at contractor/government sites to ensure adequacy of technical contents.
  • Investigate, analyze and take action to correct equipment deficiencies reported by equipment users.
  • Knowledge of equipment requirements, policies, and procedures as they pertain to assigned system or subsystem requirements.
  • Knowledge of, database maintenance and the interfaces with LMP, PowerLOG-J, LSA-030 and LSA-036 Reports and other functions for assigned equipment.
  • Interface with PowerLOG-J and defense integrated data systems activities to assure processing of National Stock Number (NSN) requests and related maintenance activities associated with item identification and compatibility.
  • Review, evaluate, accept and/or reject the provisioning data and maintenance allocations codes assigned, provides guidance during pre-provisioning and provisioning reconciliation conferences.
  • Assist in the analysis and integration of logistics requirements into program and design
  • Maintain effective communications with supported customers; Provide recurring updates and briefs on technical projects and efforts.
