JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Senior Storage and Backup Administrator to join the Global IT Operations team. The role involves the design, implementation, administration, optimization, and support of enterprise storage and backup environment.
Your role
  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise storage systems including SAN, NAS, and object storage environments.
  • Manage and optimize storage platforms, especially: Dell PowerFlex, Dell Unity, Dell Data Domain, Synology
  • Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor storage performance, availability, and utilization to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Implement and maintain storage replication, snapshots, deduplication, compression, and tiering strategies.
  • Administer enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, Azure Backup, AWS Backup.
  • Develop and maintain backup, retention, and recovery policies aligned with business and compliance requirements.
  • Perform backup monitoring, troubleshooting, validation, and recovery testing.
  • Lead Disaster Recovery drills and ensure RPO/RTO objectives.
  • Ensure successful execution of backup jobs and rapid restoration capabilities.
  • Manage backup infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud workloads.
  • Implement data protection and ransomware recovery strategies.
  • Ensure backup and storage environments comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain secure access controls and encryption standards for storage and backup systems.
  • Support virtualization and physical platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, Windows, Linux for both Storage and Backup.
  • Provide Level 3 technical support for storage and backup incidents / requests. Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with vendors.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance to the broader IT team.

Your profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience administering enterprise storage and backup environments.
  • Strong experience with backup tools such as Veeam, Commvault, Cloud Backup
  • Strong experience with SAN/NAS technologies (Dell PowerFlex, Dell Unity, Dell Data Domain).
  • Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V environments
  • Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
  • Solid knowledge with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
  • Scripting and Automation knowledge using PowerShell / Shell
  • Good understanding of networking concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience supporting Disaster Recovery and data protection strategies
  • Ability to work in a global, collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving skills
