Job description

Sr Powerbuilder DeveloperIntroduction:

The Senior PowerBuilder Developer will be responsible for providing analysis, support, and maintenance for the IRMS legacy system, as well as developing and implementing interfaces between GenTax and IRMS systems during the modernization period. This role will involve collaborating in a team environment under the direction of the Virginia Department of Taxation management.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop PowerBuilder applications using PowerBuilder 12.5 or higher
  • Utilize relational databases such as Oracle 19C or higher or MySQL for application development
  • Create interfaces to FileNet applications
  • Develop interfaces to REST APIs
  • Design and develop clear and maintainable code
  • Use software project tracking tools like Azure DevOps
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to analyze requirements
  • Work independently and collaboratively in an Agile development environment
  • Contribute to detailed design and architectural discussions
