Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionThis role works in a production environment with a primary focus on cleaning ink splatter from machines and surrounding areas to maintain a safe, clean, and contamination-free facility. The position involves hands-on work with ink totes, floors, and walls, using basic hand tools and cleaning equipment to remove dried ink and residue while supporting overall production operations.
Responsibilities- Clean ink splatter from production machines, including all accessible surfaces, to maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Clean floors, walls, and other surfaces in the production area to prevent contamination and maintain housekeeping standards.
- Spray out ink totes thoroughly to remove ink residue and prevent cross-contamination of products.
- Use basic hand tools to scrape and remove excess dried ink material from totes, walls, and floors.
- Lift and move products weighing 40–50 pounds consistently from the floor and other areas as needed.
- Perform general labor and production support tasks such as organizing materials, assisting with ink-related processes, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Carry out janitorial and cleaning duties in and around the production area, including power washing when required.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working with cleaning tools, ink materials, and production equipment.
- Use basic math skills to complete measurements and calculate various metric systems for weighing product and verifying correct quantities.
- Collaborate with team members to support production goals and maintain a positive, safety-focused work environment.
Essential Skills- 1 to 2 years of experience in general production, warehouse, labor, or cleaning roles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and safely.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as frequent bending, lifting, and moving products throughout the shift.
- Experience performing general labor tasks in a production, warehouse, or similar environment.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools for scraping and cleaning dried ink and other residues.
- Ability to use basic math to complete measurements and calculate various metric systems for weighing product and ensuring accurate measurements.
- Comfort working in an ink manufacturing or similar industrial environment with cleaning and janitorial responsibilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Production janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Prior janitorial or cleaning experience in a facility, warehouse, or production environment.
- Previous general production experience supporting manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with power washing equipment and industrial cleaning methods.
- Experience in environments related to ink production, packaging, or print media is a plus.

Work EnvironmentThe work takes place in an ink manufacturing facility that supports a range of industries, including flexible packaging, liquid food packaging, paper and board packaging, plastic tubes, digital printing, and print media. The ink produced is used in products such as chip bags and candy wrappers and is shipped to other facilities for application. This is a first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no overtime required. The role involves regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, and moving products, as well as working with cleaning tools, power washing equipment, and ink-related materials. Safety boots are required while on the production floor and can be provided by the employer.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
