Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Crude Trading Analyst through 08/21/2026 at 11:59 p.m. ([Time Zone]).

Chevron Supply and Trading provides a critical link between the market and Chevron's upstream, downstream and chemicals companies. We provide commercial support to our crude oil and natural gas production operations and to our refining and marketing network. We are headquartered in Houston, Texas, and have offices worldwide - including trading hubs in Houston, London, Singapore and San Ramon, California. Our trading professionals manage commodity transactions averaging five million barrels of liquids and five billion cubic feet of natural gas each day.

We are currently seeking a high-energy professional with sound business acumen and critical thinking skills to join Supply and Trading as a Crude Trading Analyst (TA). Ideal candidate should be natural collaborator, eager to learn and grow, and have an eye for innovation and continuous improvement.

The TA works closely with trading, marketing, operations, accounting, risk control, and other regional trading offices to analyze and report commodity earnings, exposures, and mark-to-market positions as well as perform commercial analysis. The TA will also participate in multi-functional project groups on new business and process initiatives.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Support trading team, including physical and financial activities

Actively contribute as part of a global trading team through analyzing pricing and hedging activities.

Understand, manage, and explain commodity earnings, exposures, and mark-to-market positions

Problem solve front, mid, and back-office issues with support teams

Communicate trading activities and performance results to cross-functional management, traders, and support teams

Streamline and simplify business processes

Provide back-up support for other Crude Trading Analysts

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

3+ years of experience in the energy, manufacturing, transportation and/or finance industry

Collaborator and ability to work in demanding environment

Proven time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills

Excellent communication skills

Highly proficient in MS Excel

Digital mindset and innovative thinker

Passion to grow in the trading organization

Preferred Qualifications:

Finance, Maths, Science or Engineering degree

Experience in a Trading and/or Sales organization

Knowledge of crude, refined product or gas commodities

SAP, RightAngle, and Endur experience

Knowledge of Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and/or SQL, Python

Relocation Options:

Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
