The Team:

AQR Global Trading Strategies group is responsible for trading of all AQR investment strategies. The group manages global trading of all major asset classes and instruments, including equities, credit, bonds, FX, futures, options, and swaps. The trading philosophy of the group is rooted in building expertise in liquidity sourcing and market structure across asset classes, systematically reviewing the factors that affect transaction costs, understanding the investment strategies and building systematic processes, transaction cost analysis, trading models and automated trading algorithms to minimize slippage, increase capacity and enhance returns of AQR investment strategies.

Your Role:

We are looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join our team as an Electronic Trading Analyst, focused on transaction cost analysis, execution measurement, electronic trading and market structure. The candidate will work as both a trader and execution analyst, participating in the execution process while analyzing execution performance across asset classes, understanding the drivers of transaction costs and liquidity, and identifying opportunities to improve trading outcomes. The candidate will work with large trading and market datasets to build analytical tools and systematically translate findings into improvements in execution strategy, algorithm selection and parameters, and trading workflows.

What You'll Bring:

  • Must have 1-3 years of relevant trading, electronic execution, or trading analytics experience
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, Finance, Economics or related quantitative field, with a passion for markets
  • Must have a strong foundation in statistics, probability and quantitative analysis, with experience leveraging AI tools and technologies and working with large data sets
  • Must understand transaction cost analysis, execution measurement, market structure, liquidity and the factors that drive transaction costs
  • Must have exposure to electronic execution, trading algorithms and broker/venue analysis
  • Must have cash equity experience; familiarity across multiple electronically traded asset classes a plus
  • Knowledge of systematic investing principles and techniques a plus

The salary range for this role is expected to be $135,000 to $150,000.ย  This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting.ย  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, or other business and organizational needs.ย  This wage range may also be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
