Job description

Forklift Operator – Stand-Up

The Forklift Operator – Stand-Up is responsible for operating stand-up powered industrial trucks to safely transport, stage, and store materials within the warehouse. This role supports high-volume logistics operations by ensuring accurate inventory movement, efficient material flow, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

What will you do:

  • Operate stand-up forklifts such as reach trucks and order pickers to move materials within warehouse aisles and rack systems
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and document any safety or maintenance concerns
  • Accurately scan, move, and place inventory using RF scanners and warehouse systems
  • Load, unload, and stage materials to support production and shipping requirements
  • Maintain proper inventory placement and ensure product integrity during handling
  • Follow all safety policies, standard operating procedures, and company guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating stand-up forklifts (reach truck, order picker) preferred
  • Ability to obtain certification for powered industrial equipment
  • Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse environment with narrow aisles and elevated racking systems
  • Frequent standing for extended periods while operating equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Exposure to moving machinery and moderate to high noise levels
  • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
