Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense system engineering, research, design, development, integration, test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government.

MSRC is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Cost and Power BI Reporting Specialist to join a diverse team supporting data analysis, visualization, and reporting efforts within the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC). The selected candidate will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data models that support strategic decision-making, financial analysis, and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to AvMC requirements.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with team members, leadership, and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
  • Design and maintain data models and conduct data analysis to support operational, financial, and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain cost, budget, and financial tracking dashboards and reports.
  • Analyze budget execution, funding trends, and cost data to support program management and leadership decision-making.
  • Develop executive-level presentations and reports, primarily using PowerPoint, to communicate analytical findings to senior leaders.
  • Monitor report and dashboard performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Provide training and user support for Power BI tools, dashboards, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security protocols and data privacy standards.
  • Stay current with emerging Power BI capabilities, reporting tools, and industry best practices.

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Power BI Specialist, Business Intelligence Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Experience supporting cost analysis, budget tracking, financial reporting, or resource management activities.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, DAX, Power Query, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations and communicating analytical findings to leadership.
  • Familiarity with Army financial systems, data systems, and Department of Defense security requirements is preferred.
  • Experience with Azure Data Services, SharePoint, or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python or R is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, active clearance preferred.
