Position Summary

Flexjet is currently seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Architect who will be responsible for providing guidance and engineering solutions to fulfill business requirements using industry’s best practices and in accordance with architectural standards and engineering methodology.

The Microsoft Power Platform Architect will be responsible for designing and governing enterprise-grade business solutions leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse, combined with strong architectural insight to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. Key responsibilities include leading solution-design workshops, architecting low-code/no-code and pro-code integrations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, and managing data, security, and application lifecycle strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Team Lead, Product Owner, and business stakeholders to refine solution requirements, shape the product backlog, and align technical priorities with business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, ensuring clarity, governance, and knowledge sharing across the Power Platform team and the broader IT organization.
  • Architect end-to-end Power Platform solutions—including applications, dashboards, automation, and integrations—leveraging the full Power Platform suite.
  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions with business users to translate functional needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solution designs.
  • Design and implement data architectures using Dataverse and Power Platform connectors, ensuring optimal data integration, modeling, and governance.
  • Extend platform capabilities through Power Fx, JavaScript, and integrations with Azure services, ensuring adherence to best-practice architectural patterns.
  • Oversee solution testing, deployment pipelines, and lifecycle management within production environments, ensuring compliance with organizational governance frameworks.
  • Provide thought leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to development teams, supporting solution performance, maintainability, and alignment with standards.
  • Collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams with developers, project managers, business analysts, and other technical architects to drive cohesive and high-quality solution delivery.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate, ideally in solution architecture or advanced development.
  • Expertise across the Power Platform: Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Automate (cloud and desktop flows).
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational database design, data modeling, and enterprise data integration.
  • Demonstrated analytical, architectural, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with APIs, custom connectors, and integration patterns for external systems.
  • Solid understanding of performance optimization, security, and governance principles within the Power Platform ecosystem.
  • Background in Microsoft development technologies such as SQL Server, SSRS, C#, .NET, JavaScript, or HTML5.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, or comparable source control and CI/CD tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Champion a customer-centric approach to service delivery, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and inquiries.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software as necessary.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
  • Candidate should be self-motivated, independent, and exhibit relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills that promote and foster a team culture.
  • Candidate should drive towards team solutions instead of independent heroism
  • Possess excellent organizational skills, and communication skills both written and verbal.
