Job description

The Role This is a dedicated, 1099 contractor role designed for a successful freelance media buyer or boutique solo-agency looking for a stable, high-growth client to add to their roster.

You will own the day-to-day execution, optimization, and scaling of our paid media budgets across Google, Bing, and Meta (with room for Reddit, LinkedIn, and TikTok). We do not need high-level "consulting" or fluff; we need a hands-on operator who lives in the Ads Manager, obsesses over Blended CPA and LTV:CAC ratios, and treats our ad budget like their own investment portfolio. You will work directly with our leadership team and our Lead Creative Producer to execute high-performing direct-response campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Omnichannel Campaign Management: Build, launch, and optimize Paid Search (Google/Bing) and Paid Social (Meta/Instagram) campaigns designed specifically to drive new subscription signups.
  • Master the Renewal Cycles: Unlike flat-growth SaaS, our business is dictated by the heartbeat of professional license renewal windows. You will be responsible for mapping out these cyclical surges and aggressively scaling spend to capture intent during these high-volume windows while maintaining efficiency during "off-peak" cycles.
  • The PMax + Search Hybrid Strategy: We have found our "sweet spot" in a combination of National PMax campaigns for broad-reach volume and highly targeted Individual Search campaigns to capture specific, high-intent professional queries. You will own the refinement of this hybrid model, ensuring we aren't just "buying traffic," but buying the right subscribers at the exact moment of their professional need.
  • Budget Allocation & Pacing: Fluidly shift daily and weekly ad spend across platforms based on real-time CPA, ROAS, and conversion efficiency.
  • Creative Testing Protocol: Partner with our Lead Creative Producer to test video and image variations systematically. You will provide the data-driven feedback on what hooks and formats are actually driving cheap conversions.
  • Search Intent Mastery: Manage complex keyword structures, negative keyword lists, and bid strategies on Google/Bing to capture high-intent healthcare professionals searching for specific license renewals.
  • Tracking & Attribution: Ensure pixel tracking, Conversions API (CAPI), and UTM structures are flawlessly maintained so we have absolute clarity on our blended acquisition costs.
  • CRO Collaboration: Monitor landing page performance and provide direct feedback to the team on how to improve checkout conversion rates based on traffic quality.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • The Operator: You are not an account manager at a massive agency who delegates the actual buying to a junior employee. You are the one clicking the buttons, adjusting the bids, and writing the ad copy.
  • Platform Expertise: 4+ years of direct experience managing $50k+ monthly budgets strictly in Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Subscription / SaaS Chops: E-commerce experience is great, but you must understand the math of recurring revenue. You know the difference between optimizing for a one-off cart value versus optimizing for a first-day profitable CAC on a subscription.
  • Analytical Ruthlessness: You don't get emotional about creative or platforms. If Meta is burning cash, you kill the ad. If Bing is yielding a $20 CPA, you scale it until it breaks.

Contract Structure

  • B2B Engagement: Structured as a 1099 role or a monthly retainer through your own business entity.
  • Ongoing Partnership: This is not a short-term project. We are looking for an ongoing partner to manage our ad spend month over month as we scale.
  • Flexible Execution: You manage your own hours, provided campaigns are actively monitored, optimized daily, and weekly reporting expectations are met.

Company Description

We are a nationally accredited provider of continuing education for healthcare professionals. Powered by our proprietary subscription tech and holding every major medical accreditation (ACCME, ANCC, ACPE), we are scaling aggressively.
We have successfully transitioned our core business to a highly profitable recurring revenue model. Now, we are looking for an elite, hands-on media buyer to partner with us as a long-term anchor client to scale our paid acquisition without breaking our unit economics.
