The M365 AI & Automation Platform Admin is responsible for the reliable, secure, and scalable operation of the organization's Microsoft 365 AI and automation ecosystem, including Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI (Foundry/OpenAI).
This role leads the standardization and governance of enterprise automation and AI initiatives while partnering closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure solutions are secure, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.
This role balances platform control with enablement, ensuring AI and automation capabilities drive measurable business value without introducing risk or sprawl.
What You'll Do:
Platform Ownership & Governance
  • Own the end-to-end architecture and governance of:
    • Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse)
    • Copilot Studio (AI agents)
    • Azure AI (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry)
  • Define and enforce:
    • Environment strategy (Dev / Test / Prod)
    • DLP policies and connector governance
    • Agent lifecycle management (build → test → deploy → retire)
  • Establish standards for:
    • Automation development, reuse, and scalability
    • Agent publishing, deployment, and access control
  • Integrate automation with:
    • Microsoft Graph API
    • Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, API Management)
    • Enterprise platforms (ServiceNow, Workday, etc.)

Monitoring, Cost & Usage Management
  • Establish visibility into:
    • Automation usage and performance
    • Agent adoption and effectiveness
    • AI consumption patterns (where available)
  • Manage:
    • Licensing impact and capacity utilization
    • Cost control strategies for automation and AI usage
  • Identify opportunities to:
    • Eliminate redundancy
    • Optimize platform efficiency

Security, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all automation and AI solutions:
    • Align with enterprise security and compliance requirements
    • Use approved connectors and governed data sources
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to:
    • Enforce least-privilege access
    • Monitor and mitigate data exposure risks
  • Maintain auditability and governance across the platform
  • Establish and lead a Power Platform & AI Center of Excellence
  • Define and manage:
    • Intake and approval processes for automation and AI use cases
  • Provide guidance to business teams on:
    • Best practices
    • Governance standards
  • Act as both:
    • Platform gatekeeper and strategic enabler

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with:
    • Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-8+ years of experience in:
    • Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or enterprise automation
  • Hands-on experience with:

Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse
  • Copilot Studio / Power Virtual Agents
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Microsoft 365 architecture (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange integration)
    • Entra ID (RBAC, app registrations, service principals)

Technical Expertise
  • Azure AI:
    • Azure AI Foundry
    • Azure OpenAI (APIs, model integration, prompt design)
  • Integration:
    • Microsoft Graph API
    • REST APIs and secure authentication (OAuth, managed identity)
  • Platform Governance:
    • DLP policies, environment strategy, and lifecycle management
  • Deployment:
    • Solution packaging and promotion across environments
  • Monitoring:
