Job description

The SharePoint and Power Platform Specialist will design, develop, and maintain modern workplace solutions, leveraging SharePoint Online, Microsoft PowerApps, and Azure services. This role bridges the gap between end-user business requirements and robust cloud architecture, automating workflows, managing site structures, and integrating Microsoft 365 with Azure cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

SharePoint Administration & Development

  • Architecture & Design: Design and build scalable SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, lists, and metadata structures.
  • Site Management: Manage user permissions, security groups, and access controls for enterprise compliance.
  • Customization: Develop modern, user-centric SharePoint solutions utilizing client-side technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SPFx).

PowerApps & Power Automate (Power Platform)

  • App Development: Build, deploy, and troubleshoot canvas and model-driven PowerApps tailored to business needs.
  • Workflow Automation: Create and manage complex Power Automate (Flow) workflows to automate manual processes and business operations.
  • Data Integration: Integrate Power Platform solutions with Dataverse, SharePoint lists, and external data sources.

Azure Integration

  • Cloud Solutions: Design and deploy Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL) that support long-running operations or complex triggers for Power Platform solutions.
  • Identity Management: Work with Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) for secure user authentication, role-based access control, and hybrid environment management.
  • Deployment: Utilize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) for version control and application lifecycle management (ALM) of enterprise solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in SharePoint Online, PowerApps, and Power Automate administration and development.
  • Azure Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure cloud services, specifically in integrating cloud compute/data services with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
  • Coding Languages: Working knowledge of front-end web technologies and scripting (e.g., JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, HTML, C#, or PowerShell).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and solve problems creatively.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Holding or actively pursuing Microsoft credentials, such as:
    • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Governance & Security: Familiarity with Power Platform governance, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and enterprise security compliance.
