Power Platform Developer

eimagine

Indianapolis, IN • Remote

Full-time

Posted 20 days ago

Job description

At eimagine, we help clients navigate technology and business change while staying committed to delivering value and outcomes that enable their success. Recognized as a Best Places to Work since 2015, we’re a team of humbly confident, continuous learners who take pride in our craft — and cheer loudly for our teammates — in an intentionally remote-enabled environment.

Due to our growth, we’re seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Developer with strong, hands-on experience building model-driven apps and Power Automate solutions. In this role, you’ll design, build, integrate, and support scalable, low-code business applications — model-driven and canvas apps, Power Automate flows, workflows, and integrations — using Power Platform, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, and related Microsoft cloud technologies.

Description of Duties

  • Design, build, and maintain model-driven and canvas apps on Dataverse — data models, forms, views, charts, dashboards, business rules, business process flows, command bars, and role-based security — delivering intuitive experiences aligned to client requirements.
  • Design, build, test, and support Power Automate cloud flows and process automations, including approvals, notifications, scheduled, trigger-based, and instant flows, child flows, and error handling.
  • Develop and support custom applications, tables/entities, workflows, plug-ins, and reusable solution components across Power Platform and Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert across Power Platform and Dynamics 365 CRM — system configuration, solution architecture, ALM practices, deployment planning, and system upgrades.
  • Lead and participate in client analysis sessions to determine application requirements for new Power Platform and CRM implementations.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, solution designs, data models, automation logic, and implementation plans.
  • Design integrations between Power Platform, Dynamics 365 CRM, Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint, and other enterprise applications.
  • Perform data migration and transformation — mapping, validation, cleansing, and import/export — including Dataverse-related migration support.
  • Test configurations, customizations, integrations, and automations to ensure logic, syntax, and results are accurate.
  • Analyze existing applications — performance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and the design of fixes and enhancements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement third-party applications, connectors, and Microsoft ecosystem capabilities to enhance Power Platform and CRM solutions.
  • Use version control (Git) and development management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira), and document code, configuration, and solution design consistently throughout development.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, support solution proposals and technical content, present to clients and peers, and recommend improvements to productivity and governance.

  • 4+ years in the SDLC working in Power Platform development, Dynamics 365 CRM development, or as a technical consultant.
  • In-depth hands-on experience developing, configuring, and supporting Power Platform solutions — Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and related Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 integrations.
  • Hands-on experience building model-driven apps on Dataverse (forms, views, dashboards, charts, business rules, business process flows, command bars, role-based security) and canvas apps / custom pages with responsive UIs.
  • Hands-on experience developing Power Automate cloud flows — approvals, notifications, data synchronization, scheduled and event-driven processing, child flows, error handling, and system-to-system integration.
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 CRM customization and configuration — tables/entities, forms, views, dashboards, business rules, workflows, security roles, and solution management.
  • Experience with Dataverse data modeling — relationships, columns, choices, security, and import/export.
  • Experience with Power Platform application lifecycle management (ALM) — solutions, environments, connection references, environment variables, deployment pipelines, and managed/unmanaged solutions.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform and Dynamics 365 with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Azure services, APIs, or third-party systems.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, C#, .NET, plug-ins, custom workflow activities, and REST/OData APIs strongly preferred; comfortable programming in an object-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills — requirements gathering, technical documentation, and client-facing discussions — with experience in Agile/Scrum delivery and the ability to self-manage deliverables.
  • Detail-oriented and confident in decision-making, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (PL-400, PL-100, PL-200, PL-600, or Dynamics 365 Fundamentals) are a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent job-related experience required.
