Job description

SHC Federal is seeking a highly motivated ServiceNow Developer to support our client in the defense technology sector supporting mission-critical DoD operations. This position has the exciting opportunity to drive DISA modernization initiatives through the design, development, integration, and enhancement of ServiceNow platform capabilities. This position will sit at one of the following locations: Fort Mead, MD; Hill AFB, UT; or Scott AFB, IL. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: Requirements: - 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including ITSM, CMDB, custom application development, and platform configuration - Strong software development experience with ServiceNow scripting and configuration, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and REST-based integrations - Experience designing and implementing ServiceNow applications, workflows, forms, tables, dashboards, reports, service catalogs, and automated business processes - Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems and APIs, as well as troubleshooting and resolving complex platform, application, and integration issues - Knowledge of security, access controls (ACLs), notifications, reporting, and platform best practices within enterprise ServiceNow environments - Active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain, and a current CompTIA Security+ certification (obtain within 15 days of start date) Desired: - ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) highly preferred; ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred - Relevant experience with ServiceNow modules (CSM, OMT, TSM, and TNI), Integration Hub, and enterprise integrations such as Kafka, Netcool, or Elastic - Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience supporting telecommunications, satellite communications, DISA/DoD environments, and Agile/Scrum or SAFe development methodologies Responsibilities: - Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions supporting DISA modernization efforts, including ITSM, CMDB, CSM, OMT, TSM, and TNI capabilities - Build and enhance custom applications, workflows, service catalogs, dashboards, reports, forms, tables, automated processes, and role-based access controls to meet mission and operational requirements - Develop and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer automations, notifications, and REST/API integrations with enterprise systems and external data sources - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and support migration of legacy systems into the ServiceNow platform - Troubleshoot and resolve platform, application, performance, and integration issues while supporting platform upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives - Participate in Agile development activities, maintain technical documentation, and deliver scalable solutions that improve mission management, satellite communications ordering, operational visibility, network performance, and service delivery for DISA and DoD customers
