You will organize, direct, and perform essential construction work on-site to support our diesel generation and distribution systems. Your expertise will shine as you respond swiftly to outages and emergencies, ensuring that power is restored promptly to our valued customers.You will identify and correct operational issues while conducting maintenance and repairs on our distribution systems and power plants, all while adhering rigorously to safety protocols to protect yourself and your team. A minimum of five years' experience in electrical power distribution is essential, with a preference for candidates who have worked in rural Alaska due to the unique challenges of the environment. You must hold a Journeyman Power Lineman certification from the State of Alaska and have successfully completed a lineman apprenticeship program, demonstrating both your technical prowess and commitment to the craft. Additionally, a high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license.Proficiency in using specialized tools and software related to electric utility work is also necessary, allowing you to efficiently respond to operational issues and ensure the smooth functioning of our distribution systems.
