Job Summary

The Line Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations through troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment. This role includes conducting routine inspections, prioritizing and completing repairs, and collaborating with production to minimize downtime and meet performance goals. The position also requires a strong focus on safety compliance, quality standards, and continuous improvement, while contributing to equipment modifications, project planning, and team training as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily line checks and update task lists as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety requirements
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems and related peripherals
  • Conduct routine facility walk-throughs, identify deficiencies, and initiate corrective actions
  • Document maintenance activities, preventive maintenance (PMs), and parts usage in CMMS
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership across all levels
  • Operate powered lifting equipment in support of maintenance functions
  • Analyze equipment performance and contribute to process improvements
  • Train and support employees in mechanical, electrical, and facility-related tasks as needed
  • Safely perform work using stairs, ladders, lifts, electrical testing equipment, and mechanical tools
  • Meet departmental performance, production, and efficiency goals
  • Provide coverage for maintenance roles as needed
  • Prioritize tasks, order parts, and complete repairs in a timely manner
  • Plan and schedule improvement projects in coordination with production needs
  • Perform welding and fabrication as required
  • Modify equipment to support operational improvements
  • Monitor product quality, identify abnormalities, and report issues promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What you'll bring?

  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or technical, mechanical, or electrical training preferred
  • 4+ years of maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals
  • Basic mathematical skills to perform simple calculations in a work environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze equipment issues and implement effective solutions
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing tasks that include lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and reaching
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks as required in a maintenance environment
