Job description

Mechanical Assembler

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble electro-mechanical generator systems per drawings, schematics, SOPs, and work orders
  • Build/assemble electrical control panels, breaker panels, and transformers
  • Install wiring, harnesses, connectors, circuit boards, power supplies, labels, and hardware into chassis
  • Route/bundle/terminate wiring; crimp pins, perform connector termination, and inspect finished work (rework as needed)
  • Use hand tools and power/air tools; operate overhead cranes to move products/equipment
  • Measure/verify tolerances and clearances using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and torque tools
  • Solder components and fasten parts to assemblies/subassemblies
  • Perform basic troubleshooting/repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment (may include PLC-related troubleshooting)
  • Pull parts inventory, drill/tap/ream holes, inspect parts, correct defects, and complete required paperwork
  • Maintain housekeeping/line clearance and support continuous improvement/lean practices

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year experience in manufacturing/mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and production schedules
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work overtime as needed
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Physical / Work Environment

  • Regular standing, bending, crouching, and working around equipment while wearing PPE - steel toed shoes
  • Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Warehouse environment (non-air-conditioned/heated) with possible outdoor exposure; dust, noise, fumes, and temperature/humidity changes
Mechanical Assembler Pay: $18
Mechanical Assembler Schedule: 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday
Must be open to working overtime until 4:30 and some Saturdays
