Job description

Roska DBO Inc. is currently recruiting for an experienced Gas Plant Operator in the Edson, Alberta area. The successful candidate will be working at a modern natural gas processing facility located approximately one hour from Edson.
This position is best suited for a motivated, safety-focused operator with strong sour gas processing experience who is comfortable working independently in a plant operations environment.
Please note: Camp accommodations are not provided for this position. Candidates must currently reside in the Edson area or be willing to secure their own accommodations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor sour gas processing equipment and systems
  • Perform daily operational checks and troubleshooting activities
  • Follow operating procedures and safety protocols
  • Monitor plant conditions to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Complete routine documentation and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate with maintenance and field personnel as required
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 5–8 years of sour gas plant operations experience
  • Strong understanding of natural gas processing, NGLs, and hydrocarbons
  • Valid Power Engineering certification is required
  • Preference will be given to candidates holding a 2nd Class or 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate
  • Experience operating within gas processing facilities is preferred
  • Ability to read and understand P&IDs, operating procedures, and process equipment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
  • Valid industry safety tickets
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
