Job description

This position will provide leadership of the Power Electronics portfolio & Tower of Power platform for Power Innovations International (Pii). Included is managing the revenue and margin of the product line along with the new product development roadmap and its execution. This role will manage the existing hardware and embedded firmware, formulate and implement the product line strategy, marketing plans and profitable growth programs for Pii's Electronics along with the integrated Tower of Power platform and Power Management System.
  • Manage the sales, margin, product roadmap/life cycle and operational footprint of Pii's Power Electronics and Tower of Power applications, inclusive of hardware and firmware.
  • Evaluate program financial viability and product family profitability, working closely with sales, application engineering, marketing and project management.
  • Gathers/Documents voice of customer and market knowledge to implement in new product development projects and matching Pii products to customer/market needs.
  • Support higher power module strategy and Go To Market on Tower of Power/Low Voltage SST.
  • Coordinate with Marcom and Application Engineering to create and update sales team enablement/training along with helping a positive digital end-customer experience.
  • Manage the long term forecast (>6 month) forecast on Power Electronics.
  • Develop application support tool library and ecosystem for ease of integration into customer power systems
  • Provide guidance to Program Management office for NPI execution to drive sales and gross margin improvement.
  • Travel as required in position to gather VOC.
  • Provide operational coordination between R&D, Power Electronics assembly and Integration facilities or partners.

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from accredited institution
  • Five years relevant product management or application engineering experience in electrical industry
  • Knowledge of electrical systems applications, NEC code and relevant UL standards
  • Preferred two years experience in electric vehicle, energy storage or power electronics field
