Job description

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled ERP Systems Administrator amp; Reporting Analyst to join our team at Headquarters located in Farmington Hills, MI. This individual is responsible for managing and enhancing our Microsoft Dynamics GP ecosystem, support SQL Server operations, and deliver impactful business insights through SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and Power BI reporting. This role bridges the gap between Operations, Finance, and IT.

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
  • Administer and support Microsoft Dynamics GP, including user security management, module configuration, year-end processes, and coordination of version upgrades with vendors.
  • Support the Payroll team and maintain our Payroll process within MS Dynamics GP including payroll processing and troubleshooting payroll calculation issues.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports tailored to business requirements across departments.
  • Build dynamic dashboards and visuals in Power BI to present actionable insights on business metrics.
  • Manage the SSRS report catalog and Power BI workspace environments, including access controls, publishing pipelines, and report version management.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and IT stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate into technical solutions.
  • Maintain and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, query optimization, index maintenance, and capacity planning.
  • Write and maintain T-SQL stored procedures, views, and functions supporting ERP and reporting workflows.
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot API, file-based, and scheduled data integrations between Dynamics GP, payroll, CRM, and other third-party systems, ensuring data consistency and timely processing.
  • Maintain system security, user access controls, and audit logs in accordance with internal IT policies and data governance standards.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for ERP-related issues, triaging problems, escalating when appropriate, and maintaining a knowledge base of resolutions.
  • Develop, support, and administer various applications utilized by our Operations teams.
  • Support or lead data migration efforts between ERP platforms, including data mapping, validation, and cutover planning.
  • Perform database lifecycle tasks including backups, restores, and archiving.
  • Lead or actively contribute to ERP enhancement projects, including requirements gathering, UAT coordination, and phased rollouts.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP administration, support, and configuration.
  • Experience supporting payroll processing and troubleshooting within Dynamics GP or a comparable ERP system.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL development (stored procedures, views, functions), performance tuning, and database administration tasks.
  • Solid experience with SSRS report development, including report catalog management and deployment.
  • Solid understanding of Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and workspace management.
  • Experience designing and maintaining data integrations using APIs, file-based exchanges, or ETL processes between ERP and third-party systems.
  • Experience with ERP data migrations, including data mapping, validation, and cutover planning.
  • Experience with database security roles, permissions, and audit log management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience providing Tier 2/3 application support.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and IT teams.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with financial processes, accounting principles, and payroll regulations.
  • Experience with integration platforms or middleware such as SSIS and/or SmartConnect for ERP data integration workflows.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including building Power Apps solutions and automating business workflows using Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse or experience connecting Power Platform solutions to external data sources such as SQL Server or ERP systems.
  • Awareness of, or experience with, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly in the context of ERP migration planning.
  • Microsoft certifications in SQL Server, Azure Data, Power BI, or Dynamics 365 are a plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile or IT project management environment.
