Job description

The group you’ll be a part of

You will be part of the Global Operations Analytics Team who will be supporting the Spares Planning business unit on various Analytics Initiatives.

The impact you’ll make

Join Lam as an Embedded/Business Analyst, where you'll spearhead process improvement initiatives. With your systems knowledge and business process acumen, you expertly collect and analyze data, evaluate processes, develop metrics, and identify root causes with data-driven indicators for future improvements. Organizing cross-functional project teams, you communicate team progress and survey best practices, showcasing your commitment to operational excellence at Lam.

What you’ll do
  • Perform detailed business analysis, developing insights, and solutions for the supported business functions.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for the functional stakeholders, as required.
  • Develop a Functional Analytics Roadmap working with the CoE supporting the strategic objectives of the function(s).
  • Develop a resource plan for the function(s) based on the roadmap.
  • Act as a functional Single Point of Contact (SPOC) with the CoE to deliver roadmap/business needs by leading solutioning meetings, defining/prioritizing business requirements, translating the requirements into technical-functional specifications for the CoE to execute, participate in the UAT and post-production support.
  • Technical and functional documentation of the developed solutions.
Who we’re looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science Analytics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • 8 years of experience in design and development of business applications supporting various functions within Global Operations.
  • Must have experience in developing data visualizations (reports & dashboards) using tools like Power BI, SAP Business Objects or similar tools.
  • Exposure to programming languages in SQL or HANA Technologies.
  • Experience with SAP ECC or other ERP applications for Spares Planning management.
  • Advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills (creative idea generation / brainstorming / innovation).
  • Experience utilizing technical and domain knowledge to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Evidence of subject matter expertise in functional domain (Project Lead, Line responsibility, Functional key contributor in Spares Planning.
  • Collaborate with key business partners throughout the Global Operations network.
  • Collaborate with Lam's offshore Apps Support team to exchange business and technical knowledge to help in overall growth of both the onsite and offshore teams while creating solutions that meet stakeholder expectations.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experienced in mentoring to team members across all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), leveraging Agile methodologies.
  • Evidence of strong communication skills on technical and business topics using written, verbal, and/or presentation materials as necessary.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing data visualizations (reports & dashboards) using tools like Power BI
  • 8+ years of experience with programming in SQL, or HANA Technologies.
  • 8+ years of experience with SAP ECC or other ERP applications for Spares Planning
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Jira and Agile Methodology.
  • APICS (CPIM) Certification is a plus.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $92,000.00 - $211,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
