Job Summary:
Damco Solutions is seeking a BI Developer to join their Data & Analytics team. The role involves hands-on SQL development, report building, and Power BI work across the Microsoft data stack, requiring the ability to operate independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Hands-on SQL development, report building, and Power BI work across our Microsoft data stack (SQL Server, Azure, Fabric, Power BI).
• Must operate independently and communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5 - 8 years of total experience
• 3 - 5 years in BI development (dashboards, reports, KPIs)
• 2+ years working with modern Microsoft BI stack
• 1+ year exposure to cloud data platforms (Fabric, Synapse, Azure SQL, or similar)
• Strong SQL (Structured Query Language) — able to translate between SQL logic and business context in both directions
• SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) — heavy emphasis, non-negotiable
• SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
• Power BI — dashboards and paginated reports
• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language
• ADF (Azure Data Factory)
• PySpark / SparkSQL
• Python for accessing APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) via standard libraries or equivalent
• Excel Macros and Power Query
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (basic is fine — we'll ramp them up)
