Job Summary:

The Inventory Control/Warehouse Clerk will oversee the general organization of the warehouse and contracting shop. This includes the efficient and effective coordination of all incoming shipments at Gainey's. This position will manage the receiving process ensuring that all items are received, stored, and distributed on time.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems
  • Restock supplies and inventory and special orders as needed
  • Ensures items are stored properly, in the correct location
  • Communicates with the Purchasing Department regarding new items, changes of location, counts, and identifies in-stock items from purchase requests
  • Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy
  • Ensures the purchasing department receives all packing slips daily
  • Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables
  • Loads trucks for contracting crew
  • Operates forklift in a safe manner
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
  • Pulls all in-stock material for a contracted job prior to purchasing
  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse inventory
  • Maintain stock inventory count
  • Complete bi-weekly inventory counts in the warehouse
  • Complete monthly inventory counts in the contracting shop
  • Complete weekly inventory of castings
  • Stocks the sea-can for production weekly
  • Backup Dispatch desk when needed and every afternoon from 2:45pm-5pm
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
