Job description

Join us in one of the most exciting data platform challenges of 2026: building and scaling a modern self‑service platform that empowers teams across consumer engagement, supply chain, finance, merchandising, and manufacturing to deliver impactful analytics and insights at speed and scale.

As a Power BI Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure and administrative capabilities that underpin our enterprise Power BI environment. You will ensure secure, scalable, and governed access to data, while enabling rapid development and deployment of Power BI solutions across the organization.

Responsibilities

Own the architecture and evolution of the Power BI platform, including workspace governance, capacity management, and tenant configuration.

Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for Power BI and related Azure services using tools like Terraform and Bicep.

Automate provisioning, access control, and policy enforcement to ensure analytics are fast by default, secure by design, and fully auditable.

Define and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Power BI artifacts (datasets, reports, dashboards) in line with DevOps best practices.

Establish monitoring and observability for Power BI usage, performance, and data lineage.

Collaborate with data platform and engineering teams to integrate Power BI with broader data infrastructure (e.g., Lakehouse, SQL/NoSQL, streaming).

Lead incident response and post‑mortem analysis for platform‑related issues; set and maintain SLOs/SLIs.

Influence platform roadmap and cross‑functional initiatives through technical leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

4–8 years of experience in data engineering, BI platform administration, or DevOps roles.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Proven experience managing and scaling enterprise Power BI environments, including administration, governance, and automation.

Strong understanding of Power BI architecture: workspaces, capacities, gateways, dataflows, and deployment pipelines.

Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep) and policy-as-code frameworks (e.g., Azure Policy, OPA).

Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices: CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and release management.

Solid understanding of cloud data systems (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks, Delta Lake, SQL/NoSQL).

Experience integrating Power BI with APIs, SDKs, and external data sources.

Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Power BI Audit Logs) and data quality frameworks.

Security and compliance expertise: RBAC, data masking, tenant settings, GDPR/data residency awareness.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence across technical and business stakeholders.
