Weโ€™re seeking a BI Developer & Analyst to join our Strategic Development & Supply Chain teams!

This role will support the Strategic Development and Supply Chain teams through technical report development, data modeling, and analytical insights. The BI Developer & Analyst is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing reporting used across the organization, with a focus on sales, inventory, metadata, and operational data that informs strategic decisionโ€‘making.

As the BI Developer & Analyst, you will also collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Contracts, and Publicity to understand business needs and translate them into scalable reporting solutions. You will combine technical development skills with analytical thinking to improve reporting accuracy, uncover trends, and support longโ€‘term planning across the business.

This position offers handsโ€‘on experience applying BI development, data analytics, and reporting methodologies within the publishing industry.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing
  • Understand the data pipeline and data lake structure to make information accessible for reporting and analysis
  • Partner with the data engineering team to unlock new data flows and improve data availability
  • Build Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations from the ground up based on evolving business needs
  • Work with end users to refine report usability, filtering, and visualization quality
  • Troubleshoot report performance issues, including load times and data refresh problems
  • Analyze sales, inventory, and operational data to identify trends and actionable insights
  • Maintain and distribute recurring reports used by leadership and crossโ€‘functional teams
  • Perform routine data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy across systems
  • Support data modeling and analytical projects that inform strategic planning and forecasting
  • Produce ad hoc reporting for business reviews, performance analysis, and strategic initiatives
  • Contribute analytical insights that communicate performance, trends, and opportunities
  • Support special projects involving large datasets and crossโ€‘departmental analysis
  • Maintain organized datasets, documentation, and reporting tools used across departments
Weโ€™re Looking for Someone Who Has
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problemโ€‘solving skills
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear insights

This position is in New York, NY and follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring inโ€‘office presence three days per week.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 per year. The final offer will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
