We're looking for a talented BI/Data Analyst III to join our team supporting a complex Federal Government customer in Northern Virginia (Alexandria/Falls Church area). This individual will independently develop business intelligence and analytics solutions that turn complex data into meaningful information. You will work with SQL, Power BI, multiple data sources, and analytical datasets to deliver reporting and insights that support operational and management decisions.

Work Location:

  • Onsite – Northern Virginia (Alexandria/Falls Church area)

Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain Government security clearance.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Independently develop and maintain complex Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and data visualizations.
  • Develop advanced SQL queries to retrieve, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, relationships, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Design reporting solutions that translate business requirements into effective analytical products.
  • Develop recurring, ad hoc, operational, management, and executive-level reporting.
  • Develop and maintain data models and analytical datasets supporting BI and reporting requirements.
  • Perform complex data validation and quality analysis to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Integrate and analyze data from multiple databases, applications, and enterprise data sources.
  • Optimize reports, queries, datasets, and dashboards for performance and usability.
  • Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, metrics, KPIs, and business rules.
  • Troubleshoot complex reporting, data, and visualization issues.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve analytical processes.
  • Document data sources, transformations, calculations, report logic, and business rules.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to less-experienced analysts.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced experience using SQL to query, manipulate, and analyze data.
  • Demonstrated experience developing complex Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and visualizations.
  • Experience analyzing data from multiple databases, systems, or enterprise data sources.
  • Experience developing data models and analytical datasets.
  • Experience defining and developing KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience performing data validation, quality analysis, and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify trends, anomalies, relationships, and meaningful insights within complex datasets.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization and effective presentation of analytical results.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities.

  • Advanced Power BI experience, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases.

Salary Range
$95,000-$115,000
The posted salary range represents the anticipated compensation for this position. Final compensation will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications, years of directly relevant experience, education, certifications, security clearance, contract requirements, and other business considerations.
