Job description


We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your Technology career to the next level.
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Chief Technology Office - Intelligent Solutions Product Line team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team responsible for delivering trusted, market-leading platform capabilities in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will have a strong focus on ensuring the reliability, availability, performance, and intelligent automation of the Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Apps, Power Automate, and related tools.
This role involves managing, optimizing, and supporting the Power Automate platform to meet service level objectives (SLOs), drive continuous improvement, and enable AI-assisted and Copilot-based capabilities that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Job Responsibilities
  • Execute platform design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to resolve complex problems
  • Create secure, high-quality production configurations and maintain workflows and algorithms that integrate reliably with dependent systems
  • Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation / refactoring, unit test creating, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectives
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI assisted development and automating capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation
  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the Power Automate platform to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions to track the performance and health of Power Automate workflows, connectors, AI-enabled actions, and infrastructure components
  • Respond promptly to incidents, outages, and performance degradation events affecting Power Automate and AI-enabled services, driving rapid resolution and service restoration
  • Manage changes to the Power Automate and Power Platform environments, including software upgrades, configuration changes, AI feature enablement, and infrastructure deployments, following established change-management processes
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, performance tuning, automation efficiency, and AI-assisted enhancements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support and operationalize AI-enabled capabilities within the Power Platform, including Copilot-driven workflows, intelligent automation, and AI actions, ensuring governance, reliability, and secure usage
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders across time zones to support platform reliability, automation adoption, and operational excellence

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification in system design concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Experience managing cloud-based services, particularly Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Pega and Azure services
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar solutions
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creating, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations with ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices
  • Understands how to conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure the Power Platform can support current and future automation and AI-assisted workload demands
  • Strong knowledge of Power Automate, Power Apps, and the broader Microsoft Power Platform
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders across multiple time zones
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practices
  • Experience supporting or operating AI-assisted or Copilot-based automation features within enterprise platforms

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Proficient hands-on experience in a Microsoft Power Platform, Pega or automation software Engineer role.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies and Azure services
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (Power Platform App Maker, Power Platform Developer, Power Automate RPA Developer Associate)
  • Experience operating in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment
  • Experience with Copilot Studio and AI-related capabilities of the Microsoft Power Platform, including intelligent automation, AI actions, or generative assistance
  • Experience working in large-scale or regulated enterprise environments
