Job description

Our client, a well-established company in Mississauga is seeking a skilled Power Spray Painter to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. Do you have an eye for detail and a knack for wielding power spray painting equipment with finesse? This is the opportunity for you!

Benefits to you:

  • Pay starting from $23/hr up to $28/hr (based on the experience)
  • Fulltime, Monday – Thursday from 7:00 AM – 4:00PM, Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Potential overtime based on work demand
  • Willing to join a union
  • Temporary to Permanent position for qualified applicant. On becoming permanent, the Client offers -

Key Responsibilities:

To perform this job an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Responsible for ensuring parts are painted properly according to customer specifications while meeting all quality standards
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with -
    • Powder coating experience
    • Painting on a conveyor system line
    • Paint involving wash stages
  • Knowledge of reading part blue prints and maintaining paint line functionality
  • Experience with aluminum extrusions and steel
  • Able to setup automatic spray guns
  • Able to control film build to within +/- 1 mil
  • Experience with metallic colours a plus
  • Ability to change colour and clean booth multiple times during the shift to ensure no colour contaminates the other
  • Apply power coat and adjust equipment to ensure proper coverage
  • Understand, maintain and operate mechanical functions of equipment in power coat area
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout the facility.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in powder coating and industrial painting
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a thorough understanding of painting techniques and materials.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver high quality work independently without daily supervision.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift and carry upto 50lbs
  • Maintain regular and prompt attendance
  • Strong English communication skills - must be fluent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience required.
  • Wearing protective gear will be a must
