This role combines press brake operation with paint booth and powder coating activities to produce high-quality metal components in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will set up and operate press brake machines, perform paint preparation and application, and ensure all parts meet precise quality standards while working as part of a small, collaborative team on a second shift schedule.

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to blueprint specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job based on material type, thickness, and required bend dimensions.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using appropriate measuring tools to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy, consistency, and part quality.
• Monitor press brake machine operation continuously to detect any issues, malfunctions, or irregularities and address them promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Perform paint preparation activities, including manual washing and prepping of parts prior to painting.
• Operate paint systems and equipment according to established procedures to achieve consistent coating quality.
• Perform color changeovers efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and preventing contamination between colors.
• Operate paint application equipment, including powder coating systems, following proper techniques and safety guidelines.
• Apply powder coat paint to parts to achieve required coverage, finish, and appearance.
• Inspect coated parts to verify proper adhesion, coverage, and finish quality, and make adjustments to processes as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including paint booths, wash stations, and press brake workstations.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines related to press brake operation, paint systems, and chemical handling.

• Ability to set up and operate press brake machines for bending, forming, and shaping sheet metal.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for sheet metal fabrication.
• Experience selecting appropriate tooling and dies for press brake operations.
• Skill in measuring and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Ability to adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and product quality.
• Experience monitoring machine operation and identifying issues or malfunctions.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment.
• Hands-on experience with paint preparation, including manual wash and prep processes.
• Familiarity with paint systems and paint application procedures.
• Experience with powder coating and powder coat painting (preferred).
• Ability to perform color changeovers while maintaining cleanliness and quality.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively on a small team and communicate clearly with coworkers.
• Willingness and ability to work a second shift schedule.

• Prior experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience operating paint application equipment and powder coating systems.
• Comfort working with standard measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Organizational skills to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work area.
• Reliability and consistency in meeting production and quality expectations.

The role is based in a clean, climate-controlled, brand-new manufacturing facility. You will work as part of a small team on second shift, typically from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. The environment includes press brake machines, paint systems, wash and prep stations, and powder coating equipment. You will work around sheet metal, paints, powders, and related materials, following established safety procedures. The facility layout and equipment support efficient workflow, and the small team structure encourages close collaboration and clear communication across the shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Vandalia, OH.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
